Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is an effective, non-surgical option to treat varicose and spider veins. Sclerotherapy involves injecting a solution directly into the affected vein. Varicose veins are caused by veins weakening (usually in the legs) causing blood to pool. This treatment causes the vein to shrink, forcing the blood to reroute to a stronger healthier vein. The damaged vein will collapse and be reabsorbed into the surrounding tissues and will eventually fade.
Sclerothrapy is done to improve the appearance of varicose and spider veins.
However the procedure can also improve other related symptoms:
- Swelling
- Burning
- Aching
- Itching
